We're a small startup on a mission to redefine gaming on smartphones and tablets. As veterans of the AAA games industry, we know what gaming can be and we're not satisfied with today's AppStore games. We want sophisticated, high-skill, beautiful games. We're hard-core gamers and we want hard-core games. We believe smartphones can rival consoles and PCs as a platform for our favorite competitive twitch games. So we're building them. We quit our day jobs so we could execute on our vision.
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer
Before working in the video game industry, Kelvin was trained as an Intelligence Analyst for the United States Marine Corps and grew up building web technologies for Silicon Valley tech startups. He has a B.S. in Software Engineering from San José State University and 8 years of video game industry experience, 5 years developing for mobile devices. He is Critical Bacon's resident systems designer, technologist, and pathfinder.
Co-Founder, Chief Creative Officer
Avery is a 10 year game industry veteran. He comes from an art background, graduating from the Art Institute of California - Los Angeles with a Bachelors degree in Game Arts and Design. Avery has worked on various MMOs, building Environment Art and Visual FX. Avery also has a knack for photography, gaming and writing about himself in the third person. He heads up the creative and art side of Critical Bacon, Inc.
SVP of Server Technologies
Since the age of twelve, Chris has dreamed of working in the Video Game industry. In 2007 that became a reality. Throughout his career, he has worked as a Web Programmer (before it was cool) in various industries, for a grand total 9 years. Chris has a BS in Computer Science from Cal Poly Pomona. His first game he ever wrote was a qBasic ASCII game at the age of 15. He joins Critical Bacon to manage Server Programming and Live Operations.
Lead Writer, Community Manager
Tom was a Founding Editor of Destructoid and graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a Bachelors degree in Game Art and Design. Eight years of journalism has allowed him to attend industry events such as CES and E3, but in the future he plans to take take part in GDC from the other side of the stage. Tom writes all of the lore and backstory for Jurojin, and also runs Critical Bacon's social media pages.
